FSU football: 3 things learned in week one of 2022 spring camp

Talent and Development
I think it’s easy to see this team is the most talented and physically developed version we’ve seen in the last 3-4 years. Here’s what I communicated when Coach Storms and his staff when hired 114 weeks ago:
"To have someone with his resume and knowledge starting work immediately is something that can pay off in 2020. Of course, the FSU offensive and defensive lines are not going to morph into what you see at places like LSU and Alabama in one off season. However, this is a hire that will pay dividends for years to come as FSU football looks to move back among the elites while dominating teams with speed and physicality like they used too a few years ago."
We saw a lesser talented team with terrible depth compete and defeat more talented teams in 2021. It was the most physical FSU football team I’ve seen since 2015.
The lack of depth at several positions was the ultimate difference-maker in wins and losses, but the staff has addressed most of those issues via the transfer portal and early enrollees. There should not be that big of a drop-off between the starters and reserves like we saw last year.
