FSU football: 3 things learned in week one of 2022 spring camp

FSU football has one week of spring practice in the books, and Mike Norvell seemed pleased with the progress when he spoke with the media Friday evening.
The Noles have had four practices, two of the practices in full pads. I wrote how Mike Norvell communicated Wednesday’s first practice in pads was the best one they’ve had since he arrived in Tallahassee.
The newcomers continue to emerge, and the competition at several positions is fierce. The players are competing with each other, and not against each other.
That’s telling regarding the culture change that’s been underway the past couple of years.
We went into spring practice with questions on both sides of the ball. How would the quarterback room look? Would the transfers fit in and increase the competition? How quickly would the freshmen early enrollees begin to assert themselves in the competition?
Who would emerge and separate themselves during spring camp? The players will have a few days off for spring break before returning to action. Let’s take a look at three things we learned in week one of spring camp.
