Time To Spend on 2023 Recruiting

One thing about having a relatively quiet National Signing Day and using the transfer portal to complete your recruiting class? It means you can spend almost all of January and February working on your 2023 recruiting class, and that’s what the coaching staff has been doing.

They have gotten a ton of 2023 recruits and beyond on campus over the past couple of weeks. The staff has four 2023 commitments, including four-star quarterback Chris Parson who seems fully locked in to build around.

They also have four-star legacy defensive end Lamont Green Jr., three-star tight-end Randy Pittman and wide receiver Vandrevius Jacobs. This is the same number of commitments they had this time last year, but the difference-maker could be Parson, who should attract other skill players to play with him after a monster junior season.

What I’m looking for in this class is the defensive line. My hope is the coaching staff can get a couple of difference-makers at defensive tackle this recruiting cycle.

I’m also paying attention to who has visited and will visit when FSU holds its official junior days in March. They’ve done a good job of getting kids on campus to those in the past, and they will be a solid indicator of who is and who isn’t interested in FSU.
