FSU basketball: Going inside the last five Nole games

What’s Next?
The Noles will play their fourth game in eight days when they travel to Miami Saturday afternoon. FSU basketball gave the Canes their first ACC loss earlier this month for their eighth consecutive win over Miami.
A win over Miami Saturday places the Noles in first place in the ACC. It’ll be a tough ask with Miami not playing since thrashing North Carolina Tuesday night. They will have fresher legs and likely play with the motivation to avenge the earlier loss and end the long losing streak against the Noles.
However, Miami isn’t a deep team and ranks No. 163 nationally on defense. They depend on the three-pointer a lot, and FSU dominated the boards on both ends in the previous matchup. If FSU basketball plays the way they’ve been playing over the past five games, they’ll have a decent shot of beating Miami on the road.
However, they’ll need to play with good energy, avoid silly turnovers, make free throws, and do a better job of hitting open threes than they have in the last couple of games. Leonard Hamilton seemed to prepare for the North Florida game with the Miami game in mind.
It’s why the rotations were different than usual, as he tried to save the guys from playing so many minutes. Make sure you tune in Saturday at 2 p.m. on ESPN for the tipoff as the Noles look to make it nine consecutive wins over Miami.
