FSU football received good news Monday evening when FSU legacy recruit Julian Armella released his final four lists of top schools.

Armella is a quality player that fits a huge position of need for the Noles on the offensive line. That unit has been a priority for Mike Norvell and Alex Atkins since they arrived on campus.

There has been noticeable improvement, despite a rash of injuries throughout the year. Armella announced a top seven list that included: Alabama, Miami, Florida, LSU, FSU, Ohio State, and Clemson back in February.

Here are the final four:

Armella ranks as the No. 127 player overall and No. 5 interior offensive lineman, hailing from St. Thomas Aquinas High School.

LSU and Alabama received official visits, and Armella visited Tallahassee in June for the Midnight Madness event and the season opener against Notre Dame. The instability at Florida and LSU have to make FSU football fans feel confident, and he could still take an official visit to Tallahassee before Early Signing Day.

It sounds like the FSU coaching staff will look to have one more big recruiting weekend once the regular season concludes. It will likely be the same weekend where Georgia commit Tyre West plans to visit officially.

The Noles were trending in his direction last week, and things could be shaping up for the Noles to end 2021 with a bang if they were to flip West and land Julian Armella. FSU has the No. 13 ranked recruiting class nationally with 16 commitments and is in the mix for at least six more blue-chip recruits.

If all of the dominoes fall right, it would not be surprising to see the Noles finish with a top 10 recruiting class, which would be unheard of coming off a three-win season in 2020. However, the 2021 season has shown Mike Norvell and the coaching staff have the program trending in the right direction.

An influx of talent at key positions is what the doctored order to get them back to competing for championships in the next couple of years.
