FSU football: Ranking six toughest games remaining on 2021 schedule
By Kelvin Hunt
Clemson
This game doesn’t look quite as imposing now as it did in the preseason. The Clemson offense has been non-existent in the first half, but I expect they’ll figure a few things out in the next couple of weeks.
Their defensive front is elite and will cause the FSU offense issues they haven’t seen this season. The Tigers allow 2.74 yards per rush and 4.21 yards per play overall. If the Nole offense can find a way to generate points, that would drastically change my outlook for this game.
Offensively, Clemson’s quarterback DJ Uiagalelei has underperformed, completing 54 percent of his passes, and hasn’t been much of a threat in the run game.
Clemson has some dangerous players at receiver, so hopefully, they won’t have figured things out by the time this game rolls around in two weeks.
They will face a tough offense in Pittsburgh the week before facing FSU, and that should be a good indicator of how things could go the following week.
