FSU football: Noles make top five for 2022 OT Eston Harris Jr.
By Kelvin Hunt
FSU football coaches have the Noles in a great position with many quality recruits in the 2022 recruiting cycle and beyond.
The offensive line continues to be a priority, and the Noles have gotten several targets on campus over the last few weeks.
One of those targets was three-star offensive tackle Eston Harris Jr., who hails from Opelika, Alabama.
The visit went well, and Harris Jr. announced the Noles made his list of top five schools released Saturday afternoon:
Eston Harris Jr. checks in at 6’6″ and 275 pounds and is considered the No. 421 ranked player nationally, No. 40 offensive tackle, and No. 17 player in Alabama.
Harris Jr. has 34 offers from FSU, Alabama, Auburn, Arkansas, Oregon, Texas A&M, UCLA, USC, Auburn, Kentucky, Indiana, Louisville, Miami, NC State, Missouri, Tennessee, USC, Vanderbilt, Arizona State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Iowa, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, and other schools.
There are one 247 Sports Crystal Ball Predictions for Auburn placed in February with a confidence level of six.
The coaching staff was one of the first schools to offer him in July 2020, and FSU football was one of the first schools he went to see once the recruiting dead period ended. He’s also visited Auburn, Alabama, and took an official visit to Oregon last week.
I think think the Noles like him but have some players above him on the recruiting board. However, it could get interesting depending on how those recruitments shake out. Harris Jr. will officially visit FSU for the Notre Dame game in September. That goes to show you how well things are going with FSU recruiting nowadays.
The staff is in the mix of players considered elite, but also have other options with players like Harris Jr. with offers from some heavy hitters. We’ll know more about this recruitment as we get closer to the early signing period.
