Julian Armella

The FSU legacy seems to be an FSU/Miami/LSU battle at the moment, but LSU fired their offensive line coach recently which should be a positive development favoring FSU.

The coaching staff finally got Armella on campus for the first time earlier this month, and the reviews were positive.

Armella is considered the No. 124 player overall and No. 14 offensive tackle. FSU football fans know the importance of landing quality offensive linemen, especially tackles.

The legacy aspect doesn’t seem to be a big factor in his recruitment, and Armella has changed high schools recently. He’ll finish up his final year of high school at St. Thomas Aquinas.

The fact FSU coaches got Armella on campus is a great sign. Armella could likely find himself in the starting lineup quickly, and he’ll be playing for an offensive line coach that got players from UNC-Charlotte selected in the NFL Draft.

Armella visited Miami after leaving FSU and took a visit to LSU after that. He had plans to visit Alabama this week as well. This battle will go down to the wire, but ultimately I think he’ll stay in-state and chose between Miami and FSU.

How important will it be for the Noles to win or look competitive in that game against Miami in November?
