Kevin Coleman

This recruitment is shaping up to be an Alabama and FSU football battle. I know we automatically assume the L when Alabama comes into the picture.

However, Kevin Coleman likes FSU, and the coaching staff got his parents on campus earlier this month and they enjoyed the visit.

Coleman is a five-star wide receiver, and the No. 1 wide receiver target on the board. He’s considered the No. 19 player overall and No. 3 wide receiver in the 2022 recruiting cycle.

I doubt he’ll commit anywhere anytime soon, which makes the Noles showing improvement on the field that much more important.

Mike Norvell made a smart move and had Coleman on campus with two other five-star commits in Travis Hunter Jr. and Sam McCall earlier this month.

Four-star QB commit AJ Duffy was on campus at the same time, and all three of them were in Coleman’s ear about joining the program.

It’ll be difficult to overcome the success Alabama wide receivers have had in recent years, but Mike Norvell’s offense has featured some receivers with gaudy stats as well. The Noles have a decent shot here, considering they are battling Alabama.
