Best Case Scenario

The FSU football schedule could be broke into three types of games. There are games the Noles will likely be sizable betting underdogs.

  • Notre Dame
  • @Clemson
  • @North Carolina
  • @Florida
  • Miami

These are the games where FSU will be sizable betting favorites:

  • Jacksonville State
  • UMASS
  • Syracuse

These are the games where it’ll likely be a toss-up or less than a touchdown betting spread:

  • @ Wake Forest
  • Louisville
  • NC State
  • @Boston College

In a perfect world, the Noles beat Notre Dame in the season opener. If that were to happen, that would drastically boost the confidence level of the team. They go into the Louisville game 3-0, defeat them, and go on to beat Syracuse the following week to enter the game against UNC 5-0.

Let’s say they lose the UNC game and defeat UMASS the next week and go into the Clemson game 6-1. They lose to Clemson and keep it somewhat competitive and defeat NC State the following week.

That win puts them at 7-2 going into the Miami game. Let’s say they win the Miami game and defeat Boston College on the road before losing to Florida to end the season 9-3.

That’s not likely because I don’t expect the Noles to win every game that’s I’d call a toss-up. This outcome would also require big upsets. However, I can’t stress how huge it would be for the program to win nine or even eight games.

That’s when things will begin to get spooky!
