Competition

One of the first things that would allow Destyn Hill to become an impact player is the opportunity to play.

That shouldn’t be an issue because the Noles have little depth at the position and not a ton of experience and production.

The Noles only return two wide receivers with 14 or more receptions in 2020. Ontaria Wilson led the team with 31 receptions, and Keyshawn Helton was the only other wide receiver in double-digits with 14.

Kansas transfer Andrew Parchment will bring experience and production to the table. However, players like Jordan Young, Ja’Khi Douglas, Kentron Poitier, and Darion Williamson only had 19 receptions and 365 yards, with four touchdowns combined last year.

Freshmen Malik McClain, Joshua Burrell, and Hill will have opportunities to separate themselves and should benefit from better quarterback play.

Hill could be a difference-maker on special teams as well.
