FSU football: Fans react to Tamorrion Terry going undrafted
By Kelvin Hunt
FSU wide receiver Tamorrion Terry didn’t hear his name called in the 2021 NFL Draft. However, reports are he will sign with the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent.
I can’t say I’m shocked Terry didn’t get drafted, but I did project someone to take a flyer on him in the sixth or seventh round.
However, when I saw teams take wide receivers who are less talented and played against lesser competition?
It lets me know NFL teams were not willing to take a big risk on a player with some red flags.
Fan Reaction
Tamorrion Terry has incredible talent. I thought his Pro Day performance would help him get drafted, but it seems his injury history and other things scared teams away from him.
Terry had at least two knee procedures while at FSU and played with an injury in the 2020 season. It’s one of the biggest reasons he opted out of the rest of the 2020 season after the Notre Dame game. I think he should have been given props for that.
However, there were blowups between him and the coaches on the sidelines and a less than stellar practice work ethic that likely didn’t earn him any brownie points with NFL general managers.
Terry is also limited on the routes he can run, not to mention he has the propensity to drop catchable passes.
If he can put it together, he’s going to a team with a great quarterback in Russell Wilson. One thing Tamorrion Terry can do effectively is taking the top off of a defense vertically and Wilson throws a great deep ball.
Terry was incredibly productive in his time at FSU despite playing with quarterbacks that were not great at all. He has the excellent physical ability, but it should be pointed out that there’s much more to teams willing to invest millions in you as a player. Good luck to Tamorrion Terry, and I hope he makes the best of this situation.
