Remember when Marvin Wilson called Mike Norvell a liar in June 2020? At the time, I thought it was something to handle in-house.

The situation with Mike Norvell was more semantics than Norvell outright lying about something.

However, the way Wilson went about it and publically stating the team wasn’t going to practice until things got worked out couldn’t have been a good look.

It’s something that came up when teams interviewed Wilson, and he has since stated he wishes he could have handled that situation differently.

A player has to have a certain amount of respect and clout in the locker room when they want to challenge a coach.

Wilson was a good player, but he wasn’t exactly lighting the world on fire in terms of production. That aspect coupled with his level of play falling off like Big Mac toppings, not to mention he didn’t finish the last two seasons due to injury at FSU.

He ended the 2019 season missing the last four games with a hand injury and missed the last three games of 2021 with a leg injury.
