Young Players Will Be Factors

It’s difficult for wide receivers to make an impact in their first year. It helps when they enroll early, and that should be the case with Malik McClain and Joshua Burrell.

These two guys are talented, but their emergence will likely be more so due to the Noles not having a lot of talent and depth from the underclassmen.

Bryan Robinson is a young wide receiver who spent most of the last year hurt, who I expect to bypass some upperclassmen on the roster as the season progresses.

Freshman wide receiver Destyn Hill is a player many expect to compete for snaps when he arrives in a few weeks.

Kevin Knowles is a freshman defensive back who enrolled early, and that will benefit him this fall. The Noles have some talent, and playing Nickel defense will allow more defensive backs on the field.

Knowles seems to have that “it” factor for making plays, and I’d be surprised if he doesn’t play meaningful snaps this year.

There will be inconsistencies from these young players, but I feel comfortable projecting them as big parts of the program in the future.
