FSU football: 3 defensive questions going into 2021 spring camp

Secondary
The FSU football secondary can’t lay claim to the “DBU” claim as of late. The Noles have been torched through the air the past few years.
It’s not all of their fault because the pass rush has been non-existent in that time as well. The loss of Asante Samuel Jr and Hamsah Nasirildeen leave big holes at cornerback and safety.
The good news is the Noles have talent in the secondary unit and brought in some experienced players via the transfer portal.
The key is finding out which player fits best in what position. That’ll be up to Adam Fuller and defensive back coach Marcus Woodson.
Does UCF transfer Brandon Moore immediately take a cornerback spot? Does South Carolina transfer defensive back Jammie Robinson immediately take a spot? Then there’s Jarvis Brownlee, Travis Jay, Renardo Green, Brendan Gant, Jarrian Jones, Akeem Dent, and Demorie Tate, among others vying for snaps.
There are rumors the Noles will play more Nickel defense, which puts five defensive backs on the field at once and more snaps for the secondary.
