No. 11 FSU basketball (14-4, 10-3 ACC) will look to send its seniors out with a win in front of the home crowd Wednesday night against Boston College (4-13, 2-9 ACC).

Oddsmakers believe it will happen as the Noles are -19 point betting favorites, according to the Action Network. The over/under total is 153.5, which indicates a 86-67 victory for the Noles.

The teams had their initial date postponed, with Boston College only having four scholarship players available. The Noles were going into that game as -14 point betting favorites on the road.

Of course, the Noles lost their last outing against North Carolina with a second-half collapse that blew a 12-point halftime lead. They won four straight going into that game.

Boston College won their last outing against Notre Dame, but their schedule has been wrecked, with seven games postponed in the season.

FSU is the superior team with ESPN’s Basketball Power Index giving them a 92.5 percent chance of winning the game.

The question with this team is the same one we’ve been asking all season. Which FSU basketball team will show up? The team that plays with a great sense of urgency, executing and not making silly mistakes or sloppy turnovers?

The team that gets a comfortable lead and puts it in cruise control, and allowing inferior teams to hang around when the game shouldn’t be close?

That’s the challenge for Leonard Hamilton and staff and something to address as they finish the season and ready for tournament play. It’s win or go home at that point.

Boston College averages over seven steals per game and averages fewer turnovers per game than FSU. It’ll be a great litmus test for a team that lost a ton of experience from last year’s squad. I’m not sure I’d trust them to cover the spread on the road, but it’s a game the Noles should get the win.
