FSU football brought in the No. 22 ranked recruiting class in the 2020 cycle. It was the second transitional class in three years as Mike Norvell had to salvage what remained after Willie Taggart got fired during the season.

The class finished with seven of 24 enrollees listed as blue-chip players, which doesn’t meet FSU football standards.

However, Mike Norvell signed players that met several positional needs and the types of players he’s looking for at certain positions.

FSU played many young players from this class last season, some out of necessity and others because they proved they could hold their own.

By my guesstimate, 10 of the 24 enrollees saw a significant amount of snaps to give them valuable experience going into the 2021 season.

That number includes JUCO running back La’Damian Webb, who is no longer with the team.

Several talented players from this class didn’t contribute in 2020 due to injuries, and its highest-rated recruit, Demorie Tate, had to address some academic issues.

That gives me hope though it was a transitional class, there could be several players poised to contribute in the future with the right development.

Let’s look at three from the 2020 class who shined for the Noles last season.
