FSU football has gotten off to a great start with its 2022 recruiting class. The Noles are wrapping up its second recruiting class in the Mike Norvell era.

FSU has 24 players signed with one transfer wide receiver committed and a couple of spots left, according to Norvell.

A couple of players from the transfer portal or JUCO ranks can be added later, but the No. 22 rankings will not change.

The ranking ties for the second-worst on paper in well over a decade, but it could be comparable to Jimbo Fisher’s 2010 class.

Mike Norvell addressed needs all across the roster aside from defensive tackle, though it’s likely two signees categorized as defensive ends will ultimately fill those spots.

FSU signing McKenzie Milton was huge, and established some momentum, not to mention what he’ll bring in leadership and helping the other quarterbacks learn how to prepare and compete.

He could serve has as a perfect stop-gap for quarterback recruiting, with 2022 blue-chip Nicco Marchiol committed.

The decision to use the transfer portal to get better quicker was a smart one. However, they need to address these positions in the 2022 cycle with difference-makers.
