FSU football: Noles offer 2022 four-star DT Tygee Hill
By Kelvin Hunt
It’s like FSU football coaches read the site or something. I was discussing the need to address the defensive tackle positions in future classes here.
A few hours later, the coaching staff sends an offer to the teammate of recent FSU signee Destyn Hill.
Hill’s teammate is four-star defensive tackle Tygee Hill from Edna Karr High School in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Hill announced the news via his Twitter account Friday afternoon:
It didn’t take long before Destyn Hill was already recruiting his teammate to the Noles.
I love that Destyn Hill is already recruiting for the Noles. I’m not sure but they could be legitimate cousins judging from the tweets.
Tygee Hill checks in at 6’2″ and 280 pounds with 15 offers from schools like FSU, Alabama, Colorado, Florida, Kansas, Kentucky, LSU, Memphis, Miami, Michigan State, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and others.
He’s considered the No. 226 player overall and No. 17 defensive tackle in the nation. Hill is the No. 11 player in Louisiana.
There are no crystal ball predictions, but it’s a plus to have Destyn Hill in the fold coupled with David Johnson’s presence in the state. Hill was an FSU lean for a long time, and I’m sure this isn’t the first time Florida State has been mentioned.
Like always, we’ll have to see if FSU can get Tygee Hill on campus when visits are allowed again. We saw Destyn Hill come to FSU twice before the pandemic hit and once afterward. If we see a similar pattern, then I like our chances to land him.
Hill would be a solid addition to the class and the first blue-chip commit from high school to enroll at FSU since the 2018 recruiting cycle.
FSU has five commitments in its 2022 recruiting class and all five are blue-chip caliber.
