FSU football has gotten off to a great start with its 2022 recruiting class. The Noles added three commits last month and would like to continue their momentum.

One of their most important targets is four-star offensive lineman Julian Armella. The legacy recruit is getting recruited by every major school, and the Noles are heavily involved.

He released a top 10 list about seven months ago and has now eliminated three schools from the list.

Tennessee, Michigan, and Georgia have bit the dust as he announced his top seven list of schools Thursday night via Twitter:

Armella is ranked by 247 Sports as the No. 133 player nationally. He’s also the No. 14 offensive tackle and the No. 18 player in Florida.

He checks in at 6’6″ and 300 pounds and already holds 37 offers nationally and plays high school ball in Miami, Florida, after transferring from St. Thomas Aquinas. His father, Enzo Armella, played nose tackle for the Noles in the early 90s.

Armella would be an instant impact offensive lineman and would immediately compete for playing time as a freshman. However, FSU will be going up against the best of the best in recruiting at the moment.

This recruitment will likely go down to the wire, but it’s good to see the Noles are firmly in the mix for the offensive talent. FSU football already has some cornerstone pieces in five-star cornerback Travis Hunter and blue-chip quarterback Nicco Marchiol.

An offensive lineman that’s the caliber of Armella, coupled with that talent, would go a long way into putting the Noles back on track to compete for conference and national championships.

It looks like the NCAA could be loosening their recruiting restrictions in the near future and it’ll be imperative to get Armella on campus. If they’re able to do that, they should continue to be in the mix for his commitment.
