Final Breakdown of 2010 Class

The 2010 FSU recruiting class was foreshadowing of many recruiting classes under Jimbo Fisher. Fisher would consistently finish with top classes, but many of the players signed were hit or miss.

For instance, there were nine blue-chip players(three five-stars) in this class, and only four of them went on to be impact players.

On the flip-side, four three-star players that became big parts of the success at FSU, and two were first-round selections.

However, there was a lot of dead weight, with over 60 percent of the class not doing much.

As I mentioned, it’s not an apple to apple comparison to the 2021 recruiting due to the nature of the transfer portal.

However, it’s also a good barometer for those fans who only look at the final rankings and claim the 2021 class is terrible because it’s not ranked top 10.

Let’s look at the 2021 class and where some of these players could project in production.
