FSU football coaches are looking to put the finishing touches on their first full recruiting cycle in less than a month.

However, that grind doesn’t stop there, as the coaches have been hard at work laying the foundation for the 2022 recruiting class.

The Noles have three excellent commits already, but they could add a big piece later this week to build the class around.

Four-star quarterback Nicco Marchiol visited FSU a few days ago and had a great visit:

Marchiol has been an FSU lean for quite some time. There were four 247 Crystal Ball predictions before he visited Tallahassee and another four on Monday.

Marchiol checks in at 6’2″ and 216 pounds and hails from Chandler, Arizona. Marchiol is considered the No. 220 player nationally, No. 9 pro-style QB, and No. 2 player in Arizona.

He checks in with 26 offers from FSU, Florida, Arizona  State, Rutgers, Arkansas, Colorado, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, LSU, Louisville, Michigan, Michigan State, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Penn State, TCU, USC, Washington State, and some smaller schools.

Video Highlights

Marchiol is a pro-style quarterback, but he can move some with his legs too. Marchiol doesn’t have a cannon, but he’s accurate with his passes, as he averaged a 65 percent completion rate over the past three seasons.

His junior year saw a regression in terms of touchdowns to interceptions thrown, but he had his highest pass completion percentage at 69.2 percent.

He’s the type of quarterback that could flourish in Mike Norvell’s offense, and why the coaching staff has been recruiting him for a long time.
