Kudos To Staff

Listen, have the Noles missed on some targets that would have changed the perception of this 2020 recruiting class?

Absolutely.

That’s what’s going to happen when you have the type of season FSU had with not being able to recruit under normal circumstances.

Major kudos must go to the staff, especially Marcus Woodson, as he was able to bring in one of the better defensive back classes in the nation.

There were only four de-commitments in the entire recruiting cycle(not counting Malik McClain, who eventually signed early and enrolled).

Two of the de-commits were players that committed to Willie Taggart, and neither were difference-making players.

Two were blue-chip recruits that FSU football would have liked to have had, but ultimately may be better off without them. McKenzie Milton would be an upgrade over Luke Altmyer in 2021 while allowing the younger QB’s to develop and be ready in 2022.

No disrespect to legacy recruit Braden Jennings, but the way he handled his de-commitment and then de-committed from that school to ultimately sign with Maryland?

That de-commitment might have been a blessing in disguise. I think the 2020 class proved this staff is organized and knows how to recruit. The question is can they win on the field and get elite difference-makers? They already have a few committed in 2022 and will need to hold on to them.
