Coach Mike Norvell and company have done a good job in the past two cycles.
Since day one, they have quickly identified the teams’ needs each year and filled them accordingly.

As I have always said, in those first 10 days, they signed two quarterbacks. They then did the best they could to run around to fill the remaining needs.

They exhausted every option to finish the running back class, the tight end class, linebacker, defensive back, and O-line. All positions have players that have been position needs quickly identified and filled by this staff.

This work carries over to this year’s recruiting class, where they have used scholarships well and efficiently. The only area where I would’ve liked to see more movement was in the offensive line.

This glaring need has been good to us in the portal and out of high school in recent years.
I want one more tackle to come in and be an instant impact starter who can play until the youth on our team develops.

The staff accomplished that this weekend in the secondary, and along the defensive line, now we need an offensive tackle.

Now, should that mean we sacrifice missing out on a better player in another area of need? I don’t think you sacrifice that?

No matter what, this weekend, and the quality of the remaining targets are further proof that this team is in the right hands moving forward.
