FSU Football: Top 5 Noles that stood out in 2020 season
By Cole Maines
Honorable Mention: Camren McDonald improved this year, and his return next year is vital to the offense.
Honorable Mention: Amari Gainer was one of the better players on the FSU defense and led the team with 65 tackles, although he played limited snaps in a few games because he didn’t have a defined role.
Conclusion: As I mentioned, I am excited about the offseason. I’d like to see what this staff can do with a full offseason of conditioning and installation.
I like the signing class FSU has taken so far as it fills needs with experienced players from the transfer portal.
One thing I can’t wait to see is a McKenzie Milton to Jordan Travis touchdown. I think that Travis is one of the best athletes on the field, and even if he loses the job to Milton, I’d like to see him moved around.
I think he could be used similarly to how the New Orleans Saints use Taysom Hill, and he should still be a massive part of our offense.
There will be more good news for FSU football in 2021, mainly because it can’t get much worse than in 2020. The youth movement looks like it’s still in full swing and will be a big element in the program over the next couple of years.
The transfers look like they will make immediate impacts, and the sky will be the limit for McClellion, Milton, and Johnson. We are still CLIMBing.
