Jashaun Corbin

I mentioned him briefly in the Travis section, but he frankly deserves to be recognized. Consistency and Corbin share the first letter, and rightfully so.

Corbin was the most consistent player on the offense. The Texas A&M transfer wasn’t a flash in the pan runner, nor was he a statistical powerhouse.

He only rushed for over 50 yards in four games, and only scored in three out of those four. Corbin scored three of his five touchdowns against Duke.

But when he was needed for hard-earned yards, a conversion, or as a leader, he stepped up.
I love how he initiates contact on his runs and always seems to carry tacklers for a couple of yards.

My favorite element of his game was when he plays in the Wildcat. His effectiveness there was crucial against NC State. He was able to break one for a touchdown and had key third and fourth-down conversions.

That reliability is key as, due to him being a redshirt sophomore, he is one of the leaders on this team. He has assumed his role well and could be a reliable one/two punch with Taofili.

He looked a little limited throughout the year as he is still returning from his knee injury, and the offseason will be good for him to rest and reset. He could end up blowing up and being the next best running back to come out of FSU Football.
