Devontay Love-Taylor

The offensive line as a whole was improved this season, and its best performer this season was Devontay Love-Taylor.

During his time at FIU, Love-Taylor graded out in the 70s when the highest-graded lineman at FSU before his transfer was Dontae Lucas at 61.7, all via PFF.

He followed up that success at the group 5 level by showcasing his consistency and grading out in the 70s via PFF. Love-Taylor was vital in the improvement of the offensive line from dead last in the FBS to 28 out of 76 with a PFF grade of 69.4 (as of 10/14/2020).

The offensive line unit is best encapsulated by the most recent 247Sports True Freshman All American Team. The 2020 edition includes true freshman right tackle Robert Scott, an addition from Arkansas who signed in February and joined the team in August.

Scott finished the season as the ninth-best freshman lineman and allowed only one sack in his final four games according to 247 Sports.

This news is significant as Robert Scott follows Dontae Lucas, from last year as the only Seminole offensive lineman included in such a list since 2015.
There is a bright future as this group should take even more strides under coach Alex Atkins.
