FSU basketball infused itself with major talent from multiple levels. Players transferring in basketball was higher than in football (pre-transfer portal), and prep schools and junior colleges around the country have been fertile recruiting grounds for on the rise programs.

Couple this with Hamilton’s adept foreign recruiting, and you have players come in with the quality of the late Micheal Ojo, Mfiondu Kabengele, Anthony Polite, and Balsa Koprivica.

FSU football has already looked at using transfers as a way of getting things turned around quickly. The staff has proven they are good evaluators of talent, with JUCO product La’Damian Webb being a prime example.

They are still in play for several transfer portal players and could take some JUCO players if they fit a roster need.

This staff has made inroads where FSU has not experienced much success, using connections from previous relationships.

Now, they have made a concerted effort to battle for prospects in south Florida, an area neglected by the previous administrations.

The transfer market has already been massive for this staff as they brought in immediate contributors along the offensive and defensive lines and the defensive secondary.

They look to expand their footprint this year as they look for immediate contributors at wide receiver, offensive tackle, and more.
