FSU football could learn something from Leonard Hamilton.

FSU Football has fallen on hard times, and the last few years of football seen in recent memory. However, with the early signing period and the season behind us, we should look at how FSU could regain prominence by looking at one of the more successful team sports FSU has.

The ascension of FSU basketball has been fascinating to watch. They went from relative obscurity to competitors in a relatively short amount of time.

FSU basketball coach Leonard Hamilton has set up a championship-caliber blueprint in Tallahassee that Norvell should follow.

I understand that it is easier to construct a winning basketball team than a winning football team. Filling a roster of 12-15 with talent is much easier than a roster of 85.

In the 2002-2003 season, the basketball team finished with 14 wins and 15 losses, with only four wins in conference play. So how did coach Hamilton create an ACC upper echelon team, competing with the likes of Duke and UNC in close bouts annually, out of a 4-12 ACC team, and how can Norvell?
