Young Receivers Step Up

This unit has arguably been the most disappointing unit on the team. I wasn’t expecting to be the 2013 version of Nole wide receivers, but these guys have failed to show up a couple of games.

They’ve had a ton of dropped passes, haven’t been able to get separation in their routes, and overall have been playing softly in the run blocking game.

The next four games are opportunities to prove if you’re part of the problem or part of the solution as this program looks to move forward.

Players like Warren Thompson, Jordan Young, Kentron Poitier, and Darion Williamson have to show me something Saturday night.

The NC State secondary has been lunch meat for a lot of teams this year. If they can’t get it done against this group, then it might be time to re-think this unit moving forward.

I know a lot of them haven’t gotten a lot of reps, so I can handle running the wrong route here and there. However, what I can’t stand is dropped passes that aren’t contested and lack of effort in run blocking. I need to see some progress from these guys.
