Progress During Bye Week?

The loss against Louisville brings the program to the second bye week of the season. Ideally, the team would be riding a two-game winning streak into the bye week with some confidence as they prepare for Pittsburgh on November 7.

However, maybe the bye week comes at a perfect time? It will allow Jordan Travis to heal up the injuries he’s nursing. The same goes for Tamorrion Terry as he recovers from his knee procedure.

Chubba Purdy can continue to get reps and gain experience in the offense.

Maybe the wide receivers can spend the next week catching balls off the Jugs machine? Also, it gives players a chance to continue to get reps with the coaches in the defensive scheme.

We saw the bye week before the Miami game didn’t do much good in terms of preparation. However, maybe this time it’ll be different with a few more games under their belt for the coaches to assess things?

I don’t like the team having to stew over the Louisville loss and hearing how sorry people think they are for this length of time. However, it’s a good opportunity for the program to take a step forward.
