FSU football lost all of the momentum acquired with the upset win over No. 5 North Carolina a week ago. Here are three observations since the loss to Louisville.

What a complete 180 experienced by FSU football fans in the past couple of weeks. The Noles seemed to be making incremental progress since the Jacksonville State game.

Jordan Travis brought new life to the offense, and the defense at least started playing with more effort.

Those things saw the Noles cover the spread against Notre Dame and outright upset North Carolina as near two-touchdown underdogs.

However, the momentum the Noles built up from the North Carolina loss came to a screeching halt with the blowout loss against Louisville Saturday. It feels like it’s back to square one with the defense looking worse than any FSU defense that I can remember, yes, even worse than 2009.

It was predictable for a program that’s mentally fragile, a road game at noon after a big win, against a team they had beaten the last two years.

I wrote how the biggest problem for this team is a lack of confidence. Here are three more observations since the loss Saturday.
