Recruiting Momentum

The win against North Carolina seemed to open a lot of eyes last week. However, it won’t mean a hill of beans if the Noles go on the road and stink it up against a 1-4 Louisville team.

I’ve written about it several times, dating back to the Willie Taggart era. This program would have to show the results on the field before quality recruits would take this program into serious consideration again.

Wins like last week against a highly-ranked opponent can be the beginning of some needed recruiting momentum moving forward.

I’m not sure how much of an impact it will have with the 2021 class, but there’s time to make a move with some important 2022 recruits.

These recruits want to see the program show improvement so they can be sure they are joining a ship heading in the right direction.

A win followed by a loss against a team like Louisville would give opposing teams ammunition to continue negatively recruiting against the Noles. However, winning continues to give those narratives less credibility.
