Confidence

As a former college baseball player, I can relate to some of the things this team has experienced. I liken it to when I played centerfield, and the pitcher we had on the mound that day had a reputation of being good or not.

When it was our ace pitcher out there, I always felt like we had a shot to win the game, and it was like everyone raised their level of play because of it.

The same has happened since Jordan Travis became the main guy at quarterback. The team feels like they have a shot to win because of what he brings to the table. Travis has produced at a high level, and that energy is impacting all phases of the game.

The Noles are betting underdogs going on the road against a 1-4 Louisville team that many predicted to be one of the better teams in the conference.

I was never on the Louisville hype train. I’ve called them the 2019 version of Syracuse in the preseason because I knew they wouldn’t be able to replicate what they did last year.

However, the Noles can’t get complacent with their win last week. A win against Louisville would be huge for the team’s confidence, and confidence makes this team scary for the rest of the teams on the schedule aside from Clemson.
