Young Players On The Field

I wrote after the Miami game this program needed to go with a total youth movement. I probably should clarify what I meant by that, but essentially if an older player isn’t giving 100 percent effort, it’s time for him to sit on the bench.

If an older player is consistently making the same mistakes? It’s time for him to sit on the bench. I’ve seen one too many times with upperclassmen getting blown off the ball or not filling their gaps to have them be trotted back on the field.

I’ve seen too many upperclassmen getting penalties in crucial red-zone situations. I think FSU needs to go with a youth movement off the top at certain positions. There’s no need to run James Blackman back out there as the starter.

Lawrence Toafili should get more touches along with Jashaun Corbin, and give me Stephen Dix Jr. over Leonard Warner all day.

I need more players with the mentality of Amari Gainer and Asante Samuel Jr. too.
