FSU Offensive Line

It was Georgia Tech, but the FSU offensive line looked better in its first couple of series. James Blackman had time to throw, and they were able to convert some third downs.

However, the injury bug struck, and players who were not expected to play had to be trotted out there.

I still think the unit played better overall than compared to last year. The offense was able to put some drives together, but multiple false start penalties were costly, along with dropped passes and turnovers.

Miami’s defense is good, but not elite, and will look to bring pressure often since that’s worked in years past. Can they hold up long enough for Blackman to find the open areas that will be exposed against the aggressive unit?

Will they be able to run the ball, or at least use the short passing game as an extension of the running game?

We’ll find out soon enough, but this line should have the original starting five that performed well out there to start the game, which is a good sign.
