Final Thoughts

It’s hard to gauge what Miami is after their performance against UAB. Their game against Lousiville Saturday should provide a better measuring stick for what they’ll bring to the table against the Noles next week.

Teams usually improve the most from week one to week two, and the Noles will have had ample time to make adjustments to the mistakes against Georgia Tech.

Those adjustments must show up against Miami or this FSU football fan base is going to check out more than it already has with the opening loss.

If the improvement doesn’t show against Miami, it’s going to be a tough sell the rest of the way for the coaching staff.

I suppose one message they could use is a recruit is a missing piece to help them get to where they want to go. However, a recruit needs to feel the program is going in the right direction to have the confidence to pull the trigger on a commitment.

That’s been the problem the past couple of seasons under the old staff. If the product continues to improve, I think things will be just fine in recruiting moving forward.
