QB Play

I know FSU football fans don’t want to give the kid any credit, but James Blackman isn’t as bad as some would make him out to be.

He’s easily better than any quarterback on the Georgia Tech roster. Georgia Tech has been coy about who they will start Saturday, but it likely won’t matter.

They have the starter James Graham from last season who wasn’t much of a threat passing. Another option could be former FSU commit Jeff Sims, who would be starting his first college game against the Noles.

I’d welcome either one of those players with what FSU will feature on defense. Both are not the most accurate of passers, and it would be a tall task to ask them to beat the Noles with their arms.

James Blackman has shown he can spin it when given time, and Georgia Tech’s defensive line isn’t exactly known for getting after the quarterback. They’ll also have to commit more to stop the run, which should give Blackman an advantage in the passing game.
