Georgia Tech D-Line Against FSU In Passing Situations

This area is a battle within the game that should provide a good barometer regarding expectations for the FSU football offensive line.

Georgia Tech’s defensive line isn’t special, as they only had 17 sacks and 18 QB hurries for the entire 2019 season.

The Yellow Jackets didn’t have a player with more than 2.5 sacks, and almost all of their sacks came from the linebacker position.

FSU’s offensive line, while being sup-par last season, does return players that have starting college experience.

Of course, James Blackman will need to do his job and not hold the ball forever. However, if the FSU offensive line can keep him clean, it should be a good sign moving forward.

The key will be to avoid getting in predictable passing situations. Georgia Tech only had 61 tackles for loss last season. If they are disruptive in the backfield Saturday, that’s not going to be promising moving forward.
