Running Back

Projected Starter: Jashaun Corbin
Back Up: Lawrance Toafili
Rotation: Deonte Sheffield, La’Damian Webb, Corey Wren, Ja’khi Douglas, DJ Lundy (Fullback)

Listen, I expect Jashaun Corbin to get the majority of the carries and initially thought La’Damian Webb would be the backup. However, freshman Lawrence Toafili’s name seemed to emerge during fall camp more than Webb.

I expect Webb to get carries, and players like Wren and Douglas will likely be used in situations that allow them to operate in space.

I can see them used in jet sweeps or lining up in the slot to pit them against linebackers in space.

Deonte Sheffield could see carries to alleviate the load on Corbin and Toafili as well.  There isn’t a lot of experience to go around, but its a talented group that could be dangerous in Mike Norvell’s offense.
