Meiko Dotson

One of the areas on the team with the most depth is at defensive back. Asante Samuel Jr, Jaiden Lars-Woodbey, and Hamsah Nasirildeen are likely the established starters.

However, defensive backs coach Marcus Woodson has mentioned they’ll use a lot of players depending on the situation.

Dotson is an FAU transfer who has come over and established himself as a player who’ll be more than a depth player.

When the transfer initially took place, a lot of people thought he’d be a depth player even though he led the nation in interceptions last season. A player with a lot of interceptions doesn’t necessarily equate to being a good player, but it does show he can be an impact player.

Dotson can play the field or boundary cornerback positions and could play the nickel position too.

He could also become an impact player on special teams as he’s been among a small group of players vying to return punts. I wouldn’t be surprised to hear Dotson’s name throughout the season.
