Offensive Tackle

The Noles have two offensive linemen committed in Bryson Estes and Kimo Makaneole. Estes will likely play center but could move around to guard and maybe tackle if need be.

Makaneole is listed as a guard but could probably play some tackle if need be as well. The Noles have decent depth on the interior from past recruiting classes, but the need continues to be on the outside at the tackle positions.

The tackle position has been a weakness along the offensive line for several years. Injuries and the last two coaching staffs did a poor job of creating competitive depth.

FSU coaches have tried to combat the problem by using the transfer portal and JUCO route along with identifying quality high school offensive tackles.

The transfer portal isn’t an option due to scholarships being tight at the moment, but they do have several targets remaining at the position.

More targets could emerge this fall, but the Noles need at least two more players at this position for me to feel comfortable with things.
