FSU Football: Predictions for draft eligible players after 2020 season
By Cole Maines
Leaves: Early rounds
Tamorrion Terry– If the Noles play the season as scheduled and he finishes the season healthy, no doubt that he enters the draft, and he jumps from a late second round or early third-round draft pick to an early or mid-first-round pick. I mainly see him going in the 10-20 range depending on if any more upperclassmen wideouts emerge above him this season. He added good weight, got cut, kept his speed, and is in a better offensive system that can maximize his output to build on last year.
Hamsah Nasirildeen– He is still on crutches due to his injury from late last season, so he could get a medical redshirt is he remains on the sidelines.. When solely looking at his future as a Seminole, it is short, and if he even plays half of the season he is a sure-fire second-rounder. I think FSU fans will be happy to hear a lot of Nole names going off the board early in the 2021 NFL draft.
Janarius Robinson- He is coming off the strong side edge but is interchangeable with Kaindoh. He has long arms and a big frame to close on runs, and he finds the ball well to make strips. Great closing speed. He is someone who likes to hit, and do so violently. He had the opportunity to go early last year but is staying put for the season. Unsung beside Kaindoh but is one of the better talents on defense and can be a solid second or third round pick at the least. If he has a strong showing, I don’t see him going too far after Kaindoh.
Joshua Kaindoh- Major factor coming off the edge in the last couple of seasons. He is getting a lot of love preseason, has good height, has a good frame, and good weight. He has the all-important long arms and is super agile when he turns the corner off the edge. He leaves after the season and goes early-mid first. 10-20 range
Corey Durden- He is a great talent and presence on the inside and gets a lot of hype, but he is not leapfrogging Marvin Wilson in terms of draft position, so I think he lands on a team picking late in the first or early in the second.
Marvin Wilson– He is in the same situation as Terry. The only word I have to describe him with is “DOMINANT.” He is only going to keep building on his physicality and skills, especially as he has gotten into the Storms fitness program. He goes in the 5-10 pick range easily.
Asante Samuel– I don’t see many cornerbacks in the NCAA going above him, especially since the Big 10 isn’t playing. The ability to put him out on an island is appealing. He has excellent closing speed on routes and makes athletic plays. He is a violent corner for his smaller stature, which is hard to come by.
He doesn’t go as high as Derwin James or Jalen Ramsey, but is a late first-round to an early second-round pick, makes big things happen, and becomes the next big reason we are “DBU.”
