Louisville

The only ACC program to lose to a Willie Taggart led FSU team twice, Louisville. The Cardinals finished the 2019 season (8-5) with head coach Scott Satterfield winning ACC Coach of the Year honors.

However, they were very up and down last season while struggling on defense mightly. They had the No. 29 ranked offense, No. 100 ranked defense and No. 91 ranked special teams.

Satterfield likes to run the ball a ton, and they have struggled against teams with stout defensive lines. If they can’t run the ball, they are in trouble, and that will likely be the case in 2020.

The Cardinals are projected to have the No. 14 offense and the No. 84 ranked defense according to SP+.

Most of the hype is because they went from two wins in 2018 to eight wins in 2019. However, history has shown it’s easier to do that instead of going from eight wins to 10 wins.

They could be this year’s version of Syracuse from last season, who has won 10 games the year before. They don’t recruit at an elite level, and I don’t see them being as good as a lot of people thing in 2020.
