Miami

Miami rolled the Noles last season, but I don’t put a ton of stock into that game. FSU football wasn’t prepared at all and promptly fired Willie Taggart the next day.

The Canes finished the season (6-7), with three consecutive losses to FIU, Duke, and Louisiana Tech.

They finished the season ranked No. 81 offensively, No. 9 defensively, and No. 94 on special teams.

They do bring in transfer quarterback D’Eriq King who sat out last season and a new offensive coordinator. However, their offensive line is about a bad as the Noles.

The good thing about facing Miami in 2020 is it’s the third game of the season, and they’ll working out early kinks in the offense and probably not operating at an optimal level.

Also, their best defensive player, defensive end Gregory Rousseau, has elected to opt-out of the 2020 season, which is a huge blow to their defense as he’s likely a first-round pick in the upcoming NFL Draft.

Miami’s projected to have the No. 63 ranked offense and No. 9 ranked defense(before Rousseau opted-out). They’ll be better on offense and regress on defense, and if special teams are still poor, this team will likely be mediocre once again.
