FSU Is In A Good Spot

FSU football fans have some unrealistic expectations. They are ranked No. 22 in the nation with 14 commitments.

They have one of the better defensive back classes in the nation. Mike Norvell secured a commitment from one of the best QBs in Luke Altmyer.

They have made progress towards needs on the offensive line and defensive end. The biggest concern right now is at defensive tackle, although the addition of transfer Fabien Lovett will help.

Are they getting elite talent overall? No, but if you expected them to be able to after the past three seasons, then you are out of touch with reality.

This class is about meeting needs with the best players available to them, and that’s what this staff is doing for the most part. They are realistic with who’s a possibility to choose FSU.

Also, they seem to have plans B and C on deck in the event Plan A doesn’t go the way they want.

FSU still has at least 4-5 blue-chip targets remaining they can realistically gain a commitment from at this point.

That’s enough, along with other targets for them to finish in the 15-20 range. For instance, if blue-chip WR Destyn Pazon committed right now, that would move the Noles to No. 16 overall in the national rankings.
