FSU football: Ranking toughest games on 2020 revamped schedule
By Kelvin Hunt
Miami
Miami beat the brakes off FSU football last season. However, Miami was not 17 points better than the Noles.
That game was the epitome of the Willie Taggart era with a team that went into rival games unprepared and no type of game plan whatsoever.
The Hurricanes finished the season with the same 6-7 record as the Noles, including three straight losses to FIU, Duke, Louisiana Tech.
The Canes will have a lot of new faces in 2020. They hired SMU’s offensive coordinator and will change from a pro-style to a more spread offense.
Houston’s D’Eriq King transferred and will be their starting quarterback with the Canes returning most of its formiable defensive line. However, they have questions at linebacker and in the secondary.
The biggest issue they have is their offensive line that was arguably just as bad as FSU’s offensive line. It’s a rivalry game on the road, and the Noles are their Super Bowl every year.
