Mickey Andrews Field at Bobby Bowden Stadium

Ok, I’ll get the obvious one out of the way. Bobby Bowden and Mickey Andrews were the architects behind building FSU football into what it became.

Both coaches were well ahead of their time, and both coaches are well-respected by the hundreds of black/minority players who coached them.

Both coaches changed how the game of college football was-played in their primes. Bowden influenced the game on offense, and Andrews changed the game on defense.

Of course, the field is named after Bowden, so adding it to the stadium name seems like a logical move.

Mickey Andrews is the coach many former players and fans have voiced support for over the years in terms of him being recognized on campus.

A statue or naming the locker rooms after him have been voiced before, but I think naming the field after him would be an amazing gesture.
