FSU football: Noles offer 2021 safety Chase Hattley from North Carolina
By Kelvin Hunt
FSU football has been looking for playmakers on both sides of the ball. The coaches have offered 2021 safety prospect Chase Hattley.
FSU football continues to evaluate prospects for its 2021 recruiting cycle and has sent out its latest offer to safety prospect Chase Hattley.
Hattley hails from Cary, North Carolina while attending Panther Creek High School. He doesn’t have an overall composite rating, but Rivals rates him as a three-star recruit.
Hattley checks in at 6’3″ 205 pounds and holds 12 offers overall with FSU and West Virginia being the only power-five offers.
The Mountaineers offered on March 5, but Hattley holds offers from several smaller schools like Richmond, Liberty, Campbell, North Carolina Central, Western Carolina, Appalachian State, ECU, and Coastal Carolina.
Hattley announced his offer via his Twitter account:
Thoughts
Hattley has excellent size and also runs track in high school, which is a common trait we’re noticing among the players this coaching staff targets. He runs the 200 meters and participates in the long jump, triple jump, and high jump events.
His junior season saw him haul in nine interceptions in just 12 games with five passes defended and one forced fumble. He also returns kickoffs and punts for the team while playing a role at wide receiver.
He looks like one of those classic good athletes that play on a high school team that’s not very good but always stands out even when that team is playing against good competition.
He could be another diamond in the rough the Noles have found in the 2021 class that other big-time schools haven’t found yet.
All of the other smaller offers are from schools in, or near his home state of North Carolina. His size is extremely similar to another defensive back the Noles took from North Carolina, Hamsah Nasirildeen.
