FSU football will be getting one of its most important defensive players to return for his senior season in safety Hamsah Nasirildeen.

FSU football has already learned impact players like Marvin Wilson and Tamorrion Terry plan to return in 2020.

Things may get even better with the news Noles247 is reporting that senior safety Hamsah Nasirildeen will be returning for his final season in Tallahassee.

Nasrildeen suffered an injury in the regular season finale against Florida and had to be carted off the field and didn’t participate in the Sun Bowl.

In fact, his play in 2019 had a lot of mock drafts seeing his stock rise with the possibility of him leaving for the NFL becoming reality.

Nasirildeen is a great athlete who probably would have done well and helped his stock with a great combine performance.

The injury could have been a blessing in disguise for the Noles. It probably limited his ability to be able to participate in the upcoming NFL Combine with it making more sense to come back his senior year with the opportunity to get another year of his play on tape for scouts.

FSU fans are excited about the news of course.

Thoughts

It’s absolutely huge news for a defense that’s set to return almost every starter. Nasirildeen has led the team in tackles the last two seasons and was the first FSU player to crack 100 tackles in a season since Reggie Northrup in 2014.

He also forced three fumbles, had three pass break ups, two QB hurries and two interceptions with one returned for a touchdown in 2019.

If he had that type of production in a defense that wasn’t coordinated well, it’ll be amazing to see what he can do in a defense that works well together.
